Mechanical Projects
Engineering has been an important part of my life. I find happiness in building contraptions that improves the lives of people. While I code professionally, I usually spend my weekends building my next wacky device. Examples shown reflect my work up to 2020 and are NOT robotics related. Computer Aided Design Examples
ITO glass button
I had a piece of Iridium Tin Oxide glass that I wanted to use as part of an IoT button. An ESP8266 fits inside this case and sends a signal everytime the glass contacts the wires.
Download on GrabCAD View on InstructablesVice
Tool was first built as separate components that were then assembled and animated into a mockup of a vice.
Download on GrabCADRobot Arm Linkage
Simple arm design meant to be printed on a small 3D printer bed. Multiple linkages can be connected together to make a larger arm.
Download on GrabCADGenerative Design Arm Connector
Part connects to a servo motor and arm linkage part. The design was created through Generative Design with a low iteration count.
Download on GrabCADWheel
Wheel was created using a rotational sweep and rendered using a rose gold finish.
Download on GrabCADPaperclip
Very simple paperclip that was made with sweeps. Toleranced to replicate an actual paperclip, although not to scale.
Download on GrabCADLaser Cut Designs
A collage of laser cut awards I made for Pioneers in Engineering, a student club at UC Berkeley, between 2018-2020. Some of these designs involving staining the laser engraved wood and/or bending wood.
