Outreach

Chair of Bedrock Committee - Enjoying the experience I had while in Pioneers in Engineering throughout undergrad, I wanted to continue my involvement as an alum. I joined the board of its 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation to help maintain and improve the operations of the foundation, ensure the stability of the student organization, and look at ways to expand to other universities.

Volunteer - Freshmxn year of college, I signed up to be a mentor for one of the high schools competing in PiE's spring competition. Between 2018-2020, I was a substitute mentor. I volunteered again to be a full time mentor for spring 2021 because I wanted to be an assigned mentor since I liked doing it.

Through pure chance, I was sent an email asking for volunteers for this organization. I ended up volunteering for majority of the camp as a cohort mentor helping the students work on their projects as well as hosting mini-discussion on the topic of the day.

Due to my positive experience having mentors on my high school robotics team, I wanted to give back in college and mentored Pinole Valley High School. They won the Judges Award for great sportmanship and I won the staff mentor award.

Worked at the Berkeley Marina, painting and fixing the benches.

I tutored in math subjects (geometry to calculus), chemistry, and physics.
